Description
Measurement of Lp(a) is indicated for risk assessment in patients with a strong family history of atherosclerosis.
Clinical details
Levels of Lp(a) are mostly genetically determined and are also higher in West African and Afro-Caribbean populations. Interference due to hypertriglycerideaemia (TG > 10 mmol/L).
