Course overview
Training takes place in central London with live clinical experience at Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital, and the Tessa Jowell Health Centre in East Dulwich. The course follows NHS Skills for Health standards, NPSA and WHO guidelines, and is accredited by OCN Credit for Learning (Level 3, 10 credits). Our experienced trainers provide the knowledge and confidence needed to become a competent adult phlebotomist. All training is delivered in English.
Course structure
Part 1: One day of theory and dry‑lab practice (Fridays, 08:30–16:00), including practice using training arms.
Part 2: Saturday induction followed by supervised live patient experience. Students must have OH and DBS clearances before attending. You must book your first two clinical sessions within two weeks. Up to 90 clinical hours are available – more than comparable courses.
After completing both parts and passing assessments, students receive a Certificate of Attendance/Competence. Suitable for both beginners and experienced healthcare staff.
