BP180 and BP230 antibody detection by ELISA
- Description
- Quantitation of anti-BP180 and anti-BP230 IgG antibodies is performed on serum samples using automated ELISA methodologies. This is a quantitative test for detection of both antibodies which are associated with diseases of the pemphigoid family. The test provides diagnostic confirmation and treatment monitoring information in these patients and results are typically combined with indirect immunofluorescence data for initial diagnostic purposes.
