Beta 2 Glycoprotein1 antibodies

Description
Anti-β2GPI is an antiphospholipid antibody that is associated with the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS). This antibody is tested in conjunction with IgG and IgM anti-cardiolipin antibody and lupus anticoagulant (done in the Coagulation laboratory).Anti-β2GPI must be detected on 2 more occasions at least 12 weeks apart to fulfil the laboratory diagnostic criteria for APS. It may also be positive following an infection.
