Autoantibody panel: smooth muscle, liver/kidney microsomal, mitochondrial, gastric parietal cells
- Description
- A routine autoantibody test is performed on the traditional mouse liver, kidney, and stomach substrate by the indirect immunofluorescence method. This screening test detects anti-smooth muscle antibodies (ASM), anti-mitochondrial antibodies (AMA), anti-liver/kidney microsomal antibody (LKM), and anti-gastric parietal cell antibody (GPC). Titration is performed on the positive samples. A confirmatory Autoimmune Liver Blot (extended panel) is added to identify the antigen type for the first time positive anti-LKM or anti-mitochondrial patterns.
