Gastrointestinal Laboratory

Our Gastrointestinal Laboratory provides a range of non-invasive stool tests to support the investigation of gastrointestinal disorders. These include faecal calprotectin, which helps assess intestinal inflammation, faecal elastase, which assesses pancreatic function, and quantitative faecal immunochemical testing (FITQ), which detects small amounts of blood in stool.
