Diabetes Autoantibodies (ZnT8, GAD, IA2)

Description
Autoantibodies to Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase (GAD), Islet Antigen 2 (IA2), and Zinc-Transporter 8 (ZnT8) are diagnostic and prognostic markers of Type I Diabetes Mellitus. These autoantibodies are tested for by enzyme-linked immunoassay and is only able to be requested as a complete panel. For GAD antibodies for neurological investigations, please see separate heading.
