SE-HMDS – Immunophenotyping
GenomicsOur Immunophenotyping Laboratory is an integral part of the South East Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SE-HMDS). The team provides a comprehensive flow cytometry service, providing a spectrum of tests for the diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of haematological malignancies.
Specialised tests include integrated MDS flow scoring, highly sensitive measurable residual disease monitoring and monocyte subset analysis. Results support the integrated HMDS reporting as recommended by the NICE guideline for ‘Haematological cancers: improving outcomes’.
The department also provides paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) analysis and monitoring for the national PNH service based at Kings College Hospital.
