SYNLAB UK & Ireland:

SYNLAB ESG Roadmap and Framework

Published: 17th May 2022

Introduction

SYNLAB UK&I is thrilled to publish its UK&I ESG Framework and Roadmap, which outlines out how we will achieve our ESG Goals.

In it we set out our ambition for reducing our environmental impact, being even more socially responsible, and continuing to operate ethically and transparently.

Under three pillars – Green, Care and Citizenship – the framework and roadmap show how we aim to deliver our goals over the next three years.

Green Roadmap

The Green roadmap outlines how we will encourage greener transport options, including green vehicles, use carbon neutral energy sources, reduce energy usage in our buildings and equipment, measure and reduce waste, reuse water, and plan how we will achieve ISO14001 (the environmental management standard).

Care Roadmap

Our Care roadmap shows how we will deliver our goals by focusing on access to high quality healthcare, employee empowerment, community impact, and diversity and inclusion. It sets out our ambitions to achieve ISO15189 or 17025 accreditations, and our aim to support our people in their personal development and increase training by 50%. As part of this pillar, we have set targets for promoting research and innovation, and how we are committed to contributing to our communities, for example by producing educational content. We will also develop our Diversity & Inclusion Strategy.

Citizenship Roadmap

The Citizenship roadmap sets out how we aim to improve training to achieve the highest standards of ethical business practice, and apply the SYNLAB Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure our suppliers are aligned to our ethical standards

The UKI ESG Framework & Roadmap describes how we are set up to deliver on these ambitions, and will work with partners, suppliers, and customers to achieve a more sustainable future.
