Celebrating National Pathology Week

As an organisation at the forefront of healthcare science, SYNLAB UK & Ireland makes a meaningful difference every day to the health and wellbeing of the patients we serve. National Pathology Week is an annual celebration of the crucial contribution pathologists make to healthcare.

I am immensely proud to work alongside and lead a dedicated and talented group of people. From healthcare scientists to colleagues in operations and support services roles, each of our people play a vital role. Whether it’s developing new tests for rare diseases, providing critical diagnostic information to support cancer care, or performing routine testing which helps improve quality of life, I am inspired every day by the work we do.

Through our network of four NHS pathology services we process 70 million tests per year for 400 NHS and private customers across the UK. We have invested more than £130 million pounds into transforming pathology services, and our dedication to innovation and research puts us at the forefront of healthcare science.

National Pathology Week is a yearly reminder that diagnostic testing is the backbone of patient care. Every sample represents a patient, and we are dedicated to supporting their care.
