Our Core Purpose:

“Through science, innovation and high-quality diagnostics, we make a positive difference to lives, health and wellbeing.”

When we ask colleagues what they feel most passionate about, they always talk about the science and innovation that sits behind everything we do, the fact that our service users are always at the centre of our thinking, decision-making and service development, and the positive difference we make to people’s lives, health and wellbeing. This is the very essence that bonds us together across SYNLAB, and the reason why these themes are reflected in both our core purpose and our vision.

Science for life, health and wellbeing is about discovering and sharing vital knowledge to improve health outcomes, decision-making and choices. We recognise that every sample we process represents an individual person who is trusting us to deliver accurate results which guide decisions about their treatment.

Innovation is about delivering pioneering pathology services – it’s a way of life for us. Our open and innovative mindset enables us to explore new possibilities, design new tests and services, and stay at the forefront of testing and diagnostic services.

High quality demonstrates our commitment to delivering outstanding services and actionable diagnostics, which means that our test results can be relied upon to make informed decisions. We listen to feedback and we are always seeking to improve the quality of our work and the experience of our service users.
