SYNLAB UK & Ireland:

Environmental, Social, Governance

Introduction

At SYNLAB UK&I, our Vision is to be recognised as the UK’s leading laboratory diagnostics organisation.  We want to be known for providing high quality, efficient and sustainable diagnostic services.

To help deliver our vision, we published our ESG Framework and Roadmap, which outlines how we will achieve our ESG Goals and become more sustainable. Latest documents below.

Under three pillars – Green, Care and Citizenship – the framework and roadmap show how we aim to deliver our goals over the next three years.

Green

We want to encourage greener transport options, including green vehicles, use carbon neutral energy sources, reduce energy usage in our buildings and equipment, measure and reduce waste, reuse water, and progress towards ISO14001 (the environmental management standard).

Care

Our Care pillar focuses on access to high quality healthcare, employee empowerment, community impact, and diversity and inclusion. We have set targets for promoting research and innovation, supporting staff development and contributing to our communities, for example by producing educational content.

Citizenship

We are committed to the highest standards of ethical business practice, and apply the SYNLAB Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure our suppliers are aligned to our standards
