- In solid organ transplantation the presence of HLA donor specific antibodies is associated with graft loss and graft dysfunction. Characterisation of HLA specific antibodies is used to: · Identify immunological risk at time of transplant to guide clinical management · Identify HLA donor specific antibodies post transplant to guide clinical management · Monitor HLA donor specific antibodies in antibody incompatible kidney transplantation · Optimise donor selection in HLA mismatched allogeneic bone marrow and stem cell transplantation
